Martha Graham Dancers Take Part in Benefit for Burma

Martha Graham Dance Company Residency at Skidmore

During the course of this 3 week Summer intensive at Skidmore College, students will be developing online content to explore Martha Graham’s technique and work.

Students will work in teams to produce media in multiple formats; video, photo, and audio will all be explored. The video and audio production work will complement ongoing dance composition explorations, and continued exploration of Graham technique.

Additionally, we will be documenting the Martha Graham Dance Company at work. Using the reconstruction of Clytemnestra, we will focus on video and audio production methods for the web, and use blogging, podcasting, and online publishing software.

The work we produce aims to be a resource in illuminating Martha Graham's work, aesthetic, and ideas. Using the paradigms of the social web, our work will be open, shareable, creative, and responsive.

The online portion of this program can be found at ClytemnestraProject.com. Visit us there to sign up for updates and RSS feeds.
